Aims

learning a second language involves the acquisition and modification of knowledge, skills, strategies, beliefs, attitudes, and behavior. This course deals with theories and models on how second language learning takes place and which factors influence it. Theoretical foundations, current developments and approaches in SLA which are closely related to paradigm shifts in linguistics, psychology, and sociology will be discussed as well.
