The Department of Arabic Language and Literature is one of the oldest and most distinguished departments within the humanities at the University of Isfahan. With a long-standing tradition of excellence in teaching and research, the department plays a central role in advancing the study of Arabic language, literature, translation, and Islamic textual traditions. The department currently comprises 15 full-time faculty members, including 2 Professors, 12 Associate Professors, and 1 Assistant Professor. Its academic mission encompasses the teaching of Arabic language skills, education and research in Arabic literature, literary criticism, rhetoric, syntax, morphology, and the study of the historical and cultural connections between Arabic, Persian, and Islamic texts. The department offers a comprehensive academic pathway from undergraduate to doctoral studies, enabling students to develop expertise in language, literature, translation, and language education. Through a combination of traditional scholarship and contemporary academic approaches, students gain a deep understanding of Arabic language and culture while developing valuable analytical, communication, and research skills.
