Aims of the Course
Despite the importance of the quality issue in translation and interpreting, testing and assessment research in these two fields has not been well supported by the academic community. ''Of these four fields [theory, practice, pedagogy and evaluation], however, translation evaluation has remained the least developed…'' (Arango-Keeth and Koby 2003:117).
In this course attempt s are made to shed more light on translation quality assessment in detail. The following issues will be covered during the course:
