English department was established in 1958 as one of the departments pertaining to the former Faculty of Humanities. Presently, there are 178 night students, and 157 day students at the B.A. level; 32 M.A. students; and 17 Ph.D. students studying at the department. The department offers courses for the following majors:

1. B.A. for English Literature

2. M.A. for English Translation

3. M.A. for English Teaching

4. Ph.D. for English Teaching
