The  Arabic Department  was established in 1962 and admits students in Arabic Literature (B.A.); Arabic Translation (B.A.);  Arabic Literature (M.A. and Ph.D.). There are 271 B.A. students including day and night; 22 M.A. students; and 4 Ph.D. students. The Faculty members of the Department rank as follows:
